Educational Series Seminar
Seminars are part of the AWS Detroit Section education series. They are held throughout the year, bringing interactive information and processes to attendees; RSVP is required to reserve a seat.
CWI Seminar and Exam take place in the spring and fall. This fall the event: Seminar October 13, 2019/Exam October 19, 2019.
Scholarship Night – Sept 2019
Scholarship Night is generally in September. AWS Detroit section promotes the welding industry by investing in students who are attending universities, community colleges, and trade schools. In September, we are honoring students who received the scholarships at an AWS Detroit dinner meeting. RSVP at: email@example.com

Ladies Night - More Information Coming Soon! - Online Registration, April 18, 2020
Ladies Night is our second largest event. The dinner and dance event is to honor our wives with gifts, elegant dining.
While we gather, guests are treated to "red carpet" portraits by Gugel Photography and enjoy cocktails & hors d'oeuvres. (Free portraits are available after the event) Pricing: $1,600.00 per table of eight or $400.00 per couple.
Once gathered, we transition to awards, dinner, and the raffle.

Golf Outing is a very nice event that raises money for scholarships, good opportunity to mingle.
The 46th annual high school welding contest will take place at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We will provide more information soon. Thank you to all of our volunteers and sponsors.
The SMWC is the premier technical conference dedicated to bringing experts together to discuss state-of-the-art welding and joining technologies for the automotive, transportation, and light manufacturing industries. SMWC also provides important opportunities for engineers and researchers from manufacturers, suppliers, universities, and research institutes to network and meet experts in the field of welding.
